These are the feelings I've heard expressed by people who struggle with an Eating Disorder. Whatever the diagnosis - Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge-eating Disorder or Eating Disorder, Not Otherwise Specified - the feelings are the same. An Eating Disorder can take over your life and make you feel as though something has a grip on your life. In fact, many people explain that they were a "different person" before the Eating Disorder. Others do not know life without it. The good news is that there is the hope of recovery. And these are the words I have heard people use to describe their new life without the Eating Disorder:
